TEDxAmsterdam

In the tendency of our ideology, we often get asked if we want to tell stories, create and give feedback upon the idea ‘whatever you can think of, you can create’. We bleed and breath these beliefs and use this in almost every product we develop.

TEDxAmsterdam, the Dutch licensed TED event, asked us to make the already full guest-list more accessible for all the enthusiastic TED-fans who want to get a ticket for TEDxAmsterdam.  We developed a different approach and came up with a challenge. We asked people to submit their good deed on the website and present it with video, photos or websites to prove its authenticity. We called them ‘ideas worth doing,’ (as opposed to ‘ideas worth spreading’), and it’s about positive actions that have had an impact on your neighborhood, community, city, country – even the planet. People that initiated a great idea with great results and outcomes.

We got rewarded with 100 tickets to give away for the challenge participants. We made a six episode series of videos that inspired people to take action. All the people that worked on this project were volunteers and have been working purely on positive energy. Bonafide Binky created a big part of the experience of TEDxAmsterdam 2010 and now also in 2011 TEDxAmsterdam is taking ‘Ideas Worth Doing’ to the next level. Going globally and as using it as an important strive in the ideology of TED.
